Mitchell Starc is one of the finest and most admired bowlers for Australia. He’s an asset for not just the Australian National team but any team that he plays for. Given the fact that Australia have a tour of India coming up very soon, it’s only natural that cricket fans would be hoping that Mitchell Starc would be at his fittest version. However, sadly, that’s not the case. He’s currently dealing with an injured finger. While speaking to an Australian Daily about the same, he was quoted as saying,

“I’m getting another scan in Sydney and seeing a finger specialist to work through all that. Obviously India is coming up, so we’ll see what the timeframes are after I’ve had those discussions next week. Hopefully [my return] fits in somewhere at the front end of the tour. Apart from the finger being out of action, I can still train to some degree and bowl in creative ways to keep up my workloads up whilst the finger not being impacted. So that side of it is going to be fine. It’s just where the timeframe of the tendon comes into it for the India tour. From the scans the other day the tendon’s basically gone from the top of the finger so I can’t straighten it.”

Well, all cricket fans would certainly be very hopeful that Starc will be fully fit in order to bring more excitement to the game and series. Well, what’s your take on this update? Let us know your views in the comments section below and for more updates, stay tuned to IWMBuzz.com
