India, as a country is obsessed with two things which can never see a decline in demand. One is cricket and the second is Bollywood. While both individually have their own niche fan following, what exactly happens when both come together for a common cause? IPL is the byproduct of the love people have for Bollywood and cricket and each and every time IPL arrives in India, fans simply cannot keep calm. While students are hooked on to the TV sets well before the scheduled match time, adults are in a hurry to reach home early after work to not miss out on any cricketing action. And the never-ending demand is only because the top cricketers of the world come together in a common platform and make T-20 cricket all the way more exciting. India’s biggest players too are a part of the tournament and three of India’s biggest players who have dominated IPL with their captaincy and performances are MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
While MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have lifted the prestigious trophy on multiple occasions for their respective franchises, the likes of Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore is yet to get his hands on the trophy. All three captains are extremely loved by one and all and their performances speak for themselves.
