Rafael Nadal is one of the finest and most Legendary Tennis sensations that we have in the globe right now. Rafa has been killing it with his performances for quite literally many years and every time he wins a Grand Slam or tournament, the excitement of the audience and his loyal legion of fans hit a new high. Its never easy for any sports personality to maintain consistency for more than a decade. However, Nadal did manage to do that and that’s why, he will go down in history as one of the finest ever Tennis players in the history of the game.

While we all still feel that there’s plenty of Tennis still left in Rafa, how many of you know that he was actually contemplating retirement sometime back? Well, as per reports in ESPN, he was recently quoted at a press meet saying,

“A couple of weeks ago I was close to it [retirement]. Now I don’t feel that way. I don’t fear that day. I have a very happy life outside of tennis, even if tennis is a very big part of my life.”
