Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are two of the most iconic and loved cricketers in modern-day Indian cricket. The two of them have been in the peak of their respective careers in the last few years and given the way they have performed, we can certainly say that they have made India proud on many occasions in the past. Both of them are modern-day legends in cricket and when it comes to defending each other and taking a stance in public, they never hold themselves back. Recently, Kapil Dev had made a statement about the possibility of dropping Virat Kohli in T20Is. He had spoken about how it’s possibly fair to drop Kohli, the number one batsman in the world from T20I cricket if Ravichandran Ashwin, who was the number 2 performer globally in Test cricket could be dropped. Reacting to the same, Rohit was quoted by Hindustan Times saying,
“He is watching the game from outside and does not know what is happening inside. We have our thought process. We build our team and behind this, there is a lot of thinking. We back the boys and give them opportunities. So, these things you do not get to know from outside. So, whatever is happening outside is not important but what is happening inside is more important for us.”
