Sourav Ganguly breaks his silence on split captaincy issue

Ever since Virat Kohli’s removal as ODI captain of the Indian cricket team, social media has been divided in terms of opinion. While some are in favour of Virat Kohli’s removal, others are against the same.

But hey, what does Sourav Ganguly, BCCI President and the man who matters the most have to say on this? As per reports in India Today, Ganguly was quoted as saying,

“It’s a call that the BCCI and the selectors took together. Actually, the BCCI had requested Virat to not step down as the T20I skipper but obviously, he did not agree. And the selectors then did not feel it right to have two different captains for two white-ball formats.”
