BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been one of the finest and most iconic players to have played the game for Team India. There was a fear among Indian cricketers to play competitive cricket outside the country. But it was under Ganguly’s leadership for the first time that things really started to change and how. From a very successful captain to eventually becoming the BCCI top boss aka President, it has been a phenomenal journey for Sourav Ganguly.

Off-late, there have been rumours about him not coming back as BCCI President as he apparently didn’t get the support of other officials despite him wanting to return. We heard reports of Roger Binny replacing him for the post. Although Ganguly is yet to confirm the same officially, he did make things clear indirectly.

As per NDTV Sports, during an event, he was quoted as saying,

“I have been an administrator and I will move on to something else. Whatever you do in life the best days are when you played for India. I have been president of BCCI and I will go on to do bigger things. You can’t be a player forever, you can’t be an administrator. I never believed in history but the feeling in the past was east lacked talent to play at that level. You don’t become an Ambani or Narendra Modi in one day. You have to work for months and years to get there.”
