With the ever so increasing number of Covid-19 positive cases in the IPL, the BCCI had no option but to suspend the tournament until further notice. It all started with KKR camp’s Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier followed by CSK’s L. Balaji and Mike Hussey. Things went completely out of hand when SRH’S Wriddhiman Saha and DC’s Amit Mishra also tested positive which meant as many as 4 teams out of 8 were in quarantine.
And now when Sourav Ganguly was recently asked by Indian Express regarding the Covid-19 bio bubble breach in IPL happened, he was quoted as saying,
“The report we got is that there’s no breach of the bubble. How it happened is very difficult to say. How so many people are getting (infected) in the country is also very difficult to say.”
He further added,
“It is too early to say whether there is a window available to resume the season. He also said that while there was a discussion to host the tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Board of Control for Cricket in India.”
