The Indian Men’s Hockey team defeated Japan 5-3 to finish second in its Olympic pool. They are all set to take on Britain in Sunday in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, India’s run at Archery ended on a sad note as Atanu Das got eliminated in the pre-quarters.

Kamalpreet Kaur sealed a spot in the final of the Women’s Discus Throw with a throw of 64.00 that was her qualification mark.

Last but not the least, boxer Amit Panghal lost to Columbia 4-1 in the Men’s 52 kgs round of 16.
