Michael Jordan is widely followed as the most amazing basketball player of all time, as well as one of history’s greatest athletes. From the mid-1980s until the late 1990s, he dominated the court, leading the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles and five MVP awards. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inducted him in 2009.
Jordan’s ability to inspire and motivate others through his words is quite astounding. Many of the comments ascribed to him over the years demonstrate his strength, determination, and conviction in the value of hard work.
“I accept failure since everyone fails at something at some point.” “But I can’t live with myself if I don’t give it my best shot.” “Never rule out the possibility of anything good happening. Because, like anxieties, boundaries are frequently deceptive.”
“You can practice shooting for eight hours a day, but if your technique is incorrect, all you’ll learn is how to fire the wrong way.”
“If you master the fundamentals, the quality of everything you do will improve.”
“The challenges we confront did not arise overnight, and they will not be fixed tomorrow, but by working together, we can develop greater understanding, positive change, and a more calm world for ourselves, our children, our families, and our communities.”
“I take things one step at a time… I’d always set short-term objectives. Looking back, each of the milestones or achievements led to the next.”
