Looking forward to one more Olympic year and placing 2020 in the rear-view mirror, Swimming World chose to assemble a rundown of the best swimmers on the planet driving into 2021. There was a great deal of quick swimming in the initial three months of 2020 (pre-pandemic), and even with an all-inclusive break of the water throughout the mid-year, large numbers of the world’s first-class got back to either the ISL or different territory to assemble times faster than anticipated. There is no ideal method to rank each swimmer on the planet. So here we have some of the best swimmers who have conquered the sport

1. Mark Andrew Spitz (nicknamed Mark the Shark)

Winning seven gold medals at the Munich Olympic Games in the year 1972, an accomplishment outperformed only by Michael Phelps who won eight golds at the 2008 Olympics.

2. Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps has won 16 Olympics medals, with his 6 gold medals and 2 bronze in the year 2014 at Athens and his 8 gold medals in the year 2008 in Beijing. He is also the only swimmer to have the most golds. He has won the World Swimmer of the Year Award six times and eight times American Swimmer of the Year.

3. Ian Thorpe

Ian James Thorpe (nicknamed the Thorpedo and Thorpey) is a retired Australian free-form swimmer. He has won five Olympic gold decorations, the most won by any Australian, and, at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships, he won six gold medals.
