Early & Personal Life Of Sourav Ganguly

You know Sourav Ganguly on the Cricket ground but do you know him off the cricket ground?

Sourav Ganguly is a cricketer from India. Sourav Chandidas Ganguly, also known as Dada, is the 39th President of the BCCI, a cricket pundit, and a former national captain. He was one of the most prosperous commanders of the Indian national cricket team and one of the best batsmen in the world throughout his time.

Sourav Ganguly began his career playing football, which is the most popular sport in Kolkata, but was eventually drawn to cricket. His mother, on the other hand, was not enthusiastic about him pursuing sports as a vocation.

He learned to play cricket alongside his brother, and although being right-handed, he learned to bat left-handed in order to use his brother’s sporting equipment. He became the captain of St. Xavier’s School’s cricket team after scoring a century against Orissa Under-15.

Sourav Ganguly was named for the Bengal team in 1989. His brother, coincidentally, left the team that year. The left-hander rose to prominence after an outstanding performance in the Ranji Trophy during the 1990-91 season.

Sourav Ganguly’s marriage is full of drama, or to put it another way, it’s like something out of a Bollywood film. In 1997, he and his childhood buddy Dona Roy ran away from their homes because they couldn’t agree. The tragedy had a negative impact on both families, but they eventually reconciled.

The pair married in February 1997. The wedding gave him a lift, and he went on to become a fantastic ODI cricketer. He scored his first ODI century against Sri Lanka and subsequently won back-to-back Man of the Match honors. He also played in the 1999 World Cup, scoring 183 runs against Sri Lanka. Sourav Ganguly’s highest ODI score came in this match. Sana Ganguly, the couple’s daughter, was born in November 2001.
