It’s difficult to compile any list of rankings when you’re dealing with the best club in the world. Try producing the same list while having to wade through the club’s whole full and historic history, as well as every single person who has ever worn the Barcelona jersey. That is exactly the effort I recently completed, and while this ranking of the Top 10 All-Time Barça Players isn’t flawless, it will suffice for the time being.
Most supporters, however, will argue that Cruyff’s lasting legacy at the Nou Camp was forged on the sidelines. He took over as manager of the club in 1988 and created the tiki-taka style of play that is still used by Barça today.
Whether you like him or not, Eto’o was (and still is) a wizard and possibly the finest striker Barcelona has ever had. There will be people who read this ranking and feel hatred toward the number three assigned to Messi as if the small Argentine was given the short end of the stick. Lionel Messi will surely go down in history as FC Barcelona’s best player.
Let’s be honest: we’ve all wished we were Ronaldinho at some point in the last 10 years. It’s easy to see why, given his brilliant style of play while at Barcelona. Xavi isn’t the most flashy player on the field. He might not be the quickest. He doesn’t score as many goals as some of his teammates, and he isn’t often the centre of attention.
