The 21-year-old girl who has got the nickname “Dhing Express” is one of the fastest runners who has collected numerous medals for her exceptional, mind-blowing talent. She is the first Indian lady to ever received a gold medal for the global track event of the “IAAF World U20 Championships”, timing at 51.46 seconds. Hima Das has been a participant of mainly 400 meters, 200 meters, and 4×400 meter relays. The girl holds the record of finishing sixth in the Commonwealth Games, where she clocked at 51.32 seconds in Gold Coast in 2016.
Being the recipient of one of India’s most honoured privileged awards, the “Arjuna Award” in 2018, Adidas also showed some interest in the young talent and signed a contract with the girl from the year 2018. Das has made our country proud with her fantastic performance and display of sheer stamina and strength. The young girl has a high advantage of winning medals at the Olympics for India. The village also honoured her with the “Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award”. She is an inspiration for all the youngsters.
Hima Das has honoured and devoted herself to her village in Assam, where she is now a successful officer and working hard to achieve her goals.
