The theme song for the second leg of the 14th season of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) has been released by the reigning champions Mumbai Indians (MI). The second edition of India’s domestic T20 league began on Sunday, September 19, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On Sunday, the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians faced three-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first match of the UAE leg of the league at the Dubai International Stadium.
The five-time IPL winners posted their hymns on various social networking platforms ahead of the return of the flagship tournament. The MI squad posted in Marathi on Twitter, sharing a small video from their anthem, stating their team is the pride of every Maharashtra family. The 31-second film begins with hitman Rohit performing his renowned pull shot in the blue and gold jersey of Mumbai. In a few moments of the video, Rohit can also be seen wearing a Maharashtrian Pheta. In addition to Rohit, the video featured Jasprit Bumrah, Kieron Pollard, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya.
