India’s First-Ever Olympic Gold Medallist Neeraj Chopra Reveals What Would Be His Alternate Career Had He Not Picked Javelin

Imagine Neeraj Chopra not being an athlete.

Neeraj Chopra, India’s first-ever Olympic gold champion in the javelin throw, has evolved into so much beyond. He has become a figure of optimism, greatness, and the major example of being comfortable in his own skin since his return home.

The top athlete may be seen attending a live event in a video recently released by Instagram user s.s.r insta, which may or may not be related to his successes at the Tokyo Olympics. One of the reporters at the event asks Chopra what he would be doing right now if he hadn’t picked up the javelin and chose to pursue a career as a professional athlete.

He immediately replied with a subtle smile on his face, “Kuch nahi karta, gaon mein bhaiso ko dande marta… Aur toh kuch nahi ji.” As per Mensxp.

While the Olympic gold medal may have been the impetus for bringing the immensely brilliant and gifted athlete to the attention of casual followers of Indian athletics, it is his humble demeanor and unvarnished style of life that has managed to hold their interest even now.

Chopra has previously attended events and requested that the hosts or audience members converse with him in Hindi on several occasions.

This is noteworthy because, in an age when not being able to communicate in English is seen as a flaw, Chopra has shown that conversing in one’s native language is nothing to be embarrassed by and, in fact, can be rather liberating.

It’s fantastic to see Indian athletes (not only cricketers) attracting such attention without having to modify their characters or become embroiled in any sort of controversy.
