Muhammad Ali was a professional American boxer and social activist. He had the record of being the first fighter to win the world heavyweight championship on three different occasions; he successfully defended this title 19 times.
Muhammad Ali refused to participate in the Vietnam War in 1967. He’d recently joined the Nation of Islam, and his revolt was motivated by his religious views. He was eventually found guilty of dodging the draft and had his heavyweight boxing title removed from him.
Ali was unable to enter the ring during this time. He supplemented his income by giving public speeches. His faith was an essential part of his life. He gave a powerful message to a child who asked him what he planned to do after he retired from boxing during one of his speaking appearances.
People were really fond of Ali’s speeches and rightfully so because his speeches were one of a kind. Ali will be remembered in boxing history as one of the greatest fighters of all time. Others might have matched his final record of 56 wins and 5 losses with 37 knockouts, but the caliber of his opponents and the manner in which he dominated during his peak elevated him to the ranks of boxing’s immortals.
He died at the age of 74 in the year 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
