PV Sindhu gifted a badminton racket to our former Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju

The two-time Olympic medalist, shuttler PV Sindhu gifted a top-quality badminton racket to Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, Check it out

PV Sindhu, 26, the ace badminton player of India was conferred with the Padma Bhushan recently by the President of India. During this event, she presented one of her rackets to our ex-sports minister Kiren Rijiju. She also taught Mr. Rijiju how to grip the handle of the racket. Sharing the news on his social media account Mr. Rijiju proudly wrote; “Huge honor for sports fraternity as @Pvsindhu1 is conferred with the Padma Bhushan Award for her achievements in sports for India. Congratulations!! Thank you, Sindhu, for giving me top quality badminton rackets and also for teaching me how to wrap the racket handle grip”. He also shared a video of the same on his social media accounts.

PV Sindhu is the first-ever Indian female player to achieve two consecutive Olympic medals. Sindhu won her first Olympic medal, a silver, in the 2016 Olympics and a bronze in the recent 2021 Olympics. With these continuous victories of hers, Sindhu became the name of every household and an inspiration to many. For the recognition of her work, the Indian Government conferred her with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2016, which is the highest sports honor in India, and the Padma Bhushan after her tremendous achievement in her sport. The Padma Bhushan is the third-highest civilian award given in the country.
