The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has resulted in several disruptions in our lives. Cricketers, in particular, are now required to participate in tournaments while living in a bio-secure bubble. Life in a bubble can be difficult because the athletes have no actual contact with the outside world and are limited to wandering around their hotel or stadium.

Many athletes have mentioned the mental hurdles created by the bio-bubble on numerous occasions. This time, however, India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma has emphasized the benefits of living in a bio-bubble and detailed how it has helped the cricketers bond more closely. In response to the current circumstance, Rohit believes the players should be grateful that they are doing what they enjoy. He went on to say that many people are suffering as a result of Covid-19 and are compelled to stay at home.

Furthermore, the 32-year-old explained how residing in a bubble during the IPL 2020 tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) enabled him and his teammates to get to know one another better. “If we have to adjust, we have to adjust. And try and see how you can get the best of this bubble life as well. Like, we’ve had some good times in the bubble. Especially during the IPL in the UAE,” said Rohit Sharma, in the video posted by Mumbai Indians on social media.

The Mumbai-born star cricketer spoke about his connection with the Indian players during the Australia and England tour, saying that there was a team room where everyone would congregate and just talk about life in general.
