1. KL Rahul achieved a century due to his phenomenal knoc. He hit 12 boundaries and one six. England had won the toss and chosen to bowl first.
2. India’s new favorite bowler, Mohammad Siraj, was in great form. He got a total of 8 wickets in the second test. This young talented man was also on a hat trick twice!
3. Joe Root, England’s captain, scored his 22nd test century in the first innings of the Lord’s test. His outstanding knock helped his team in the first innings. However, this was Joe Root’s first test century that did not see the team winning.
4. The extremely skilled James Anderson again showed his impeccable art with the ball. Anderson got to his 31st five hauls in the first innings when the Indian batsmen were dominating the play.
5. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane came to the rescue and saved the Indian team from getting into trouble by adding 100 runs to the score.
6. The mighty Indian pacer, Mohammed Shami scored his second test half-century that helped the Indian team to get back in form in the match. Both the bowlers, Shami and Bumrah, added 89 runs to the score.
7. Bumrah, once again proved that he is not just any other ordinary pacer. This man picked up three wickets including Joe Root who was in his top form.
