Viswanathan Anand is a very famous Indian chess grandmaster and a former world chess champion. He was the first grandmaster from India in the year 1988 and one of the best players to have ever surpassed an ELO rating of 2800.
The mastermind is a five-time world chess champion who has defeated Alexie Shirov in a match to win 2000 FIDD World Chess champions which he held until 2002. He defended his title in 2008 after becoming the undisputed world champion in 2007.
