Our lives are full of ups and downs. Cricketers, like the rest of us, have their own highs and lows. There have been a few cricketers in the past who have had life-threatening health problems. We’ve compiled a list of 5 cricketers who have faced cancer. Take a peek at:

Yuvraj Singh, India’s World Cup hero, went through the worst period of his life when he was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2012. Yuvraj Singh is best remembered for his heroics in the 2011 World Cup when he battled lung difficulties during India’s victory. Yuvi developed a tumor in his lungs, but it was just in the early stages. Yuvraj Singh was diagnosed with cancer and went to the United States for extensive chemotherapy treatment. He later made a stunning comeback in international cricket after being cancer-free.

In 2006, Australian sensation Michael Clarke was at the pinnacle of his career when two black patches emerged on his face. Later, he was diagnosed with ‘Melanoma,’ a type of skin cancer. Michael Clarke took a long vacation from cricket to receive treatment. He did, however, make a successful comeback to international cricket later on. He even went on to be the skipper of Australia’s cricket team during their fifth World Cup victory in 2015.

Former English cricketer Robin Jackman, who has been a broadcaster for a long time. His vocal cords were found to be cancerous. In 2012, he returned to cricket broadcasting after undergoing seven weeks of radiotherapy in the United Kingdom.
