Read to know about cricketers who quit IPL for Covid surges

The IPL is facing some real crisis amidst the Covid surges in the country. Many overseas players are already planning to leave the game and return, 5 have already made their exits, projecting a cover over the completion of the match further. Many Media experts are saying that the dread of travel-ban by far off nations and severe bio-bubble conventions are negatively affecting players, as India keeps on reeling under the overwhelming effect of the second Coronavirus wave.

Four global players and one Indian player have so far left the tournament so far now.

Players like Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson, Andrew Tye have exited and are set to return back to their countries. Andrew Tye spoke about it, saying, “There were a number of reasons (behind his exit), but the main one was with the situation that has started to happen back home in Perth with a lot of cases in-home quarantine coming out of India. Now, there’s a community case in Perth, governments are trying to restrict the numbers coming back in, especially Western Australia. The bubble fatigue was also a factor.” He has also stated that many other Australian cricketers are keen to return as well.
