10 facts about Rishabh Pant

Let’s introduce you to Rishabh Pant, a skilled Indian cricketer who competes in all formats of the game at the national level. His cricket skills are a perfect match for the sport’s requirements. With his impressive batting skills, he can smash the ball out of the park with ease.

Additionally, he is equipped with excellent keeping skills, making him a valuable asset to the team. Interestingly, few people know that he was inspired to pursue a career in cricket by the legendary Australian player, Adam Gilchrist.

At the age of 18, he began his debut in first-class cricket on October 22, 2015 during the 2015-2016 Ranji Trophy.

He smashed the fastest hundred in Indian first-class cricket. That innings featured 21 sixes, another Indian record.

The left-handed opener made a half-century in 18 balls, the fastest in the U-19 level.
Sticking to his style of batting, Rishabh Pant opened his test account in style with a six.

During the second Test against the West Indies in September 2019, Pant became the Indian wicket-keeper to achieve fifty dismissals in Test cricket at the fastest pace.

He is the only Indian wicket-keeper to score a test century in England and Australia.

He was awarded the 2018 Emerging Player of the Year award at the ICC Awards.

Before Washington Sundar, he became the youngest player from India to debut in a T20I match at the age of 19 years and 120 days.
When Delhi Daredevils bought him in 2016, he scored 111 off 96, laced with two sixes and 14 fours, guiding India into the U-19 World Cup semi-finals.
