The Indian Women’s Cricket team has relied on left-handed batter Smriti Mandhana for a very long time. In an encounter with Bangladesh in April 2013, the southpaw made her short-format international debut. Mandhana played for India for the first time in 50-over cricket only five days later. In contrast, she made her long-form debut against England in August 2014, when that game was played. Over 150 games in various formats have since seen her play for India.
South Africa vs 135
Mandhana scored 135 runs off 129 balls in the second one-day international between South Africa and India that was played in Kimberley. She hit 14 boundaries and a six during that span. She has scored 135 in all of her ODIs. It ranks as the fourth-best ODI score by an Indian woman hitter. With the help of her well-crafted century, India scored 302-3 in 50 overs, their second-highest total in ODI cricket, and bowled South Africa out for just 124 to win the game by 178 runs.
106 Unbeaten Against West Indies
Mandhana made a stunning 106 not out against West Indies in one of the league stage games of the ICC World Cup 2017 that was contested in England, aiding India in chasing down 184 in 42.3 overs. The opening batswoman had a fun knock, smashing 13 boundaries and two sixes. She received the player of the match award for her outstanding batting display.
78 Against England
Bristol hosted the one-off test between England and India from June 16 to June 19. With India given the opportunity to bat second, Smriti Mandhana hit 78 in the opening innings. Together with Shafali Verma, she participated in a 167-run opening stand. The pair, therefore, became the highest Test cricket opening partnership for women from India.
105 Against New Zealand
Mandhana scored 105 off 104 balls in the opening one-day international of the series between India and New Zealand on January 24, 2019, in Napier. Nine boundaries and three sixes were added to her innings to make them more impressive. Chasing 193, Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues collaborated to score 190 runs for the first wicket. That partnership ranks 12th overall and third-highest for India among women’s ODI opening partnerships.
83 Against Australia
Mandhana has scored 13 half-centuries in T20 Internationals. During the 2018 ICC World T20 in Guyana, one of Mandhana’s best innings in the shortest format of the game was an 83-ball 55 against Australia that featured nine boundaries and three sixes. Her 83 ranks as the fourth-highest score against Australia in women’s T20 Internationals. Mandhana received the player of the match award for her outstanding performance in India’s 48-run victory against the opposition.
