The ‘shirtless’ act by the Indian former cricketer and captain, Sourav Ganguly will be remembered forever. The India vs England rivalry has been always a matter of thrill and enthusiasm. The two teams have given each other a tough competition but, sometimes this has been extended to another level. It was the 2002 Natwest series final match when Sourav ‘Dada’ was seen taking his jersey off and waving from the balcony of Lord’s balcony after India defeated England. Sourav Ganguly was the captain then. But earlier in that year, in the six-match One Day International (ODI) series 2001/2002 season, the former England cricketer, Andrew Flintoff was seen doing the same too.

The ‘shirtless’ act was done during the ODI match, Andrew Flintoff was seen waving his shirt in the middle of the field at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The match was going great and India was supposed to win the match. They needed 11 runs in the final over of the match, but the tables turned when Anil Kumble got involved in a runout by Andrew Flintoff and Javagal Srinath got out by getting his wicket down by him again. After that, Flintoff did the ‘shirtless’ act which was remembered by the then captain, Sourav Ganguly.
