The best in the women’s cricketing world was eventually going to win this award as Ellyse Perry is one of the best woman cricketers that history has witnessed. Along with the ICC Female Cricketer of the Decade, she also won the award for ICC Women’s ODI cricketer of the year and ICC Women’s T20 cricketer of the year award. Her stats in all 3 formats of cricket are fabulous and worth the appreciation. She has played a total of 112 ODI matches for Australia and has scored 3022 runs at an average of 52.1 and has taken 152 wickets in total. In T20s, she has an average of 28.3 in batting and has taken 114 wickets in total.

Her cricket journey playing for Australia began in 2007 when she made her debut against New Zealand. She was an integral part of the T20 squad of the Australian women’s cricket team that won the 2010 Women’s T20 World Cup for Australia. There on she contributed in a lot of T20 World cups which Australia won. She helped Australia win the 2011-12 World Cup, the 2014-15 and 2018-19 T20 World Cup as well. Even in 2020, she won her 5th T20 World Cup for Australia.

Not just cricket, but she was a crucial part of the Australian Soccer team as well. She played in the Australian Women’s Soccer team and played as a defender. Later she was asked to quit soccer and focus solely on Cricket.
