Shakira is grabbing media attention once again since the announcement of her separation from the Spanish football star Gerard Pique. According to the Spanish paparazzi, Jordi Martin, Shakira reportedly had a secret affair with the Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal.
According to Inside Sports, the singer and the tennis player began their clandestine dating back in 2009, when the two met for the Gypsy video clip. The disclosure by Martin came on the show America Noticias, and despite repeated requests by the host, Martin did not mention Nadal’s name directly.
Instead, Martin talked about a short video recorded by Shakira with the Spanish musician Alejandro Sanz before she met Pique. However, Shakira and Sanz were never engaged. Instead, she began dating a famous person, if not more renowned—Martin went on with a reasonably illuminating hint.
At the time, rumors reported that Shakira was dating Alejandro Sanz, a well-known Spanish singer. On the other hand, the tennis player was in a difficult situation: at the time, Nadal was already romantically linked to Mary Perellò, whom he met in 2005 at school.
