Exclusive Video: Indian High Commissioner Meet Hardik Pandya Like A Friend

Check out how Hardik Pandya met the Indian High Commissioner in St. Kitts

The Indian cricketers have been accommodating the requests of the fans on the Caribbean islands ever since they arrived for the limited-overs tour, whether it be an autograph, a photo, or just a simple wave of the hand. During India’s tour of the West Indies, players like Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, and others have been seen mixing with the fans numerous times. Even during India’s optional training sessions, fans in Trinidad braved the weather and stood in line for hours to see their favorite athletes. After the second and third T20I, the scenes in Saint Kitts were quite similar.

A special guest was among the throngs of fans lining up after the third T20I for photos and autographs. Dr. KJ Srinavasa, the Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts, and Nevis, visited Hardik Pandya at Warner Park following the game. “He and I just became friends. Over the past two days, Hardik and I have had some wonderful chats. I questioned him about his exercise routine and nutrition intentions. That’s how the conversation started, and it sort of flowed from there”. To Vimal Kumar, he said.

With Dr. Srinavasa and his family, Hardik spent time interacting. India all-rounder Deepak Hooda was then seen spending time with them after Hardik. “Both the West Indies and India consider cricket to be a religion. For a very long time, this series was one of the anticipated ones. They did not travel to St. Kitts before coming to this country in 2019; they are now here. I invited the cricketers for a reception as the Indian High Commissioner to this area. We cherished one another deeply. I witnessed the love that Indian players have for the people of the West Indies, and vice versa,” said Dr. Srinavasa.

India has a 2-1 advantage in the five-match series. The final two games of the series will be played in Florida, U.S.A., where both teams have already traveled. The matches on August 6 and 7 are expected to proceed as scheduled despite some issues with visas for several team members, including India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. In actuality, Dr. Srinivasa assisted them in Guyana in obtaining U.S. visas.
