So far, each of the clubs has played at least 5 games in the Indian Soccer League and Mumbai FC is leading in the points table with North-East United in second place. Many Indian, as well as foreign players, have shown their skillset and have entertained the Indian football fans well enough. Igor Angulo, the Spanish footballer has scored the most goals so far and has given a good show to the audience in the 5 matches that he has played. He has scored 6 goals in total so far.
Check out which players won the Golden Boot award each year in ISL: –
Another name that deserves appreciation is Nerijus Valskis of the Jamshedpur FC. He has scored 6 goals as well but took one match more than Igor to reach there. Hugo Boumous has managed to provide the most number of assists in the ongoing ISL 2020.
Aridane Santana, another Spanish footballer is in third place in the leading goal scorers in the ISL 2020. Adam le Fondre of the Mumbai FC is fourth with four goals from six games that he has played, while ATK Mohun Bagan’s Roy Krishna who is third has a similar number of goals in five matches. Roy scored his first goal of the tournament against Kerala Blasters. The strongest contender to win the ISL’s Golden Boot award is still just a doubtful hunch between Igor Angulo and Nerijus Valskis. What happens next, is for us to wait and watch!!
