IND Or AUS: Which Side Was The Best Fielding Side During The 1st Test

From India’s tour of Australia, Australia has managed to be victorious in the ODI format and India has grabbed the series title in T20. After Australia’s latest win against India in the first test match, Australia now leads in the test series with a 1-0 lead. There’s no doubt that bowling played a key role in this victory of Australia, as the Indian batsmen crumbled down as if they were new to cricket. Fast bowlers led by Mitchell Starc and Hazelwood managed to stop India at only 36 runs. Hazelwood took 5 wickets and his partner; Pat Cummins took 4 wickets.

But it wasn’t just their bowling attack that shined. While Indian fielders dropped multiple catches, Australian fielders grabbed on to every opportunity and made sure that they supported their bowlers in every way possible. The newbie, Cameron Green took a stunning catch to dismiss India’s backbone, Virat Kohli in the second innings. During the first inning, Hazelwood made an excellent attempt while fielding and made a crucial run out of Captain Kohli as well.

Bumrah and Prithvi Shaw, both dropped the catch of Australian top-order batsman, Marnus Labuschagne. However, as always, Captain Kohli took a flying stunner to dismiss Cameron green during the first inning which tells the difference of fitness level between Kohli and other players of the team. Only Batting and bowling will not help team India in the second match. They need to update their fielding as well and try to come up on top.
