IPL: 56 Days of Unlimited Fun and Entertainment

Indian Premier League, officially known as Vivo IPL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 2007. They have managed to pull off 12 successful seasons and the thirteenth season begins from 29th March 2020. It is the most-attended cricket league in the world. It has 8 teams representing 8 cities of India. Right from the first match to the finals, it is full of unexpected runs, chases, bowling and fielding from domestic and international players.

In the past 12 seasons, the number of spectators have been on a continuous rise. The time slots are perfect for working people as well and given that it is T20, no match will go beyond 3 hours. It is a sight to watch our own Indian teammates playing against each other. Finishing top of the table is no guarantee of success though. Many teams winning each game have failed to perform in the play-offs and thus it is highly unpredictable as to which team will be the champion of the season. We have witnessed some shots in IPL that might have been unthinkable ten years ago, and scores that looked more at home in 50 over games than T20, have now become a thing. IPL match tickets are quite reasonable which enables cricket fans to experience cricket matches live in a stadium.

Attending an IPL game has become part of the summer bucket-list.
