Kieron Adrian Pollard is a Trinidadian cricketer who leads the West Indies cricket team in limited-overs cricket. He is known for being an aggressive all-rounder, serving as both a medium-pace bowler and a big-hitting batsman in the middle-order.He was the joint highest-paid player in the 2010 Indian Premier League, playing for Mumbai Indians. Over due course, Pollard justified the hefty price tag, thanks to his ability to take apart bowlers when MI was looking to accelerate towards the closing stages.
The big guy is not a cool head person and reacts immediately to the events. One such event was of the IPL 7 match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Pollard threw his bat in Starc’s direction after the frustrated Aussie fast bowler seemingly aimed a delivery at the West Indies star who had pulled away citing a distraction. Pollard seems to have a special place in his heart for the Aussies; his repeated altercations with them prove this very fact.
The case in point here is Kieron Pollard’s altercation with Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson in the sixth edition of the IPL. Pollard had been in Watson’s ear ever since the latter came out to bat. While laughingly mocking Watson, who looked visibly furious, the on-field umpires called in Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma to voice their objection. The talks ensued with Pollard too who momentarily stopped but now Watson had started laughing too.
