Ever since Dhoni announced his retirement, Indian management has become very confused since they have to replace the best wicketkeeper in the world and the person has to be the best as well. KL Rahul has been keeping behind the wickets for a long time and has good experience since he is the Wicketkeeper-Captain for Kings Eleven Punjab. Wade started his international cricket journey in 2012 and has been an important part of the Australian team as a wicketkeeper.

Wade has taken test 69 catches, 108 ODI catches and just 15 T20 catches. His wicket-keeping stats are not as good as many others, but he is one of the keepers who never miss a chance of stumping or drop a catch. It is majorly because Australia depends on Alex Carry for their wicketkeeping. Rahul has been getting many chances after Dhoni’s exit and Rishab Pant’s failed form to keep behind the wickets. Since then, Rahul has done well as a keeper batsman as we saw in this year’s IPL season.

Recently during the 3rd T20 match in Australia, Rahul messed up a stumping and gave a lifeline to Steve Smith.

The missed stumping did not hurt India much as Washingon Sundar dismissed Steve after 2 more balls. This incident has surely given Rahul something to think about and work harder on his wicket-keeping skills. To find who is better between both, we will have to see the test series that is lined up against Australia from 17th as Wade and Rahul will be likely keeping wickets for their respective teams.
