Hardik’s father, Himanshu Pandya, claimed in an interview with the Bombay Times that even the family was unaware of the proposal and that they too were taken by surprise. He had admitted that although the family knew about the couple’s trip to Dubai, they were unaware of the proposal. The family had interacted with Natasa several times while living in the city, according to Hardik’s father.
