Currently, the best batsman that Australian Cricket has got in their arsenal is Steve Smith and this is in consideration across all formats. He has already shown his talent and form in the recent T20s and ODIs that India has played against Australia. As both teams are now preparing for the test matches that are scheduled from the 17th of December, Steve Smith had his say about it in a recent interview.
Since Steve was suspended in the 2018-19 tests that happened in India, he reveals that it was tough for him to watch his team take the blow. He said sitting on the sidelines was tough as he knew that if he had got a chance to be there, he could have saved his team. When asked about how he feels about playing test cricket after white-ball matches, he said, “Yeah I’m very excited to play test cricket. It is my favourite form of cricket and we are all pumped to play the test match”.
When asked about the Indian Bowling attack, Steve mentioned that India surely has a strong and experienced bowling attack, but he is excited to play them. He also said that Shami and Bumrah will be very crucial to their bowling attack. He also expressed his views on the absence of Ishant Sharma and said that he will be a major loss to the Indian side. He said that it will be exciting to see which spinners India will play against them. Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep, or Chahal will play an important role in the Indian bowling attack.
