“Thanks. Thanks a lot for your love and support throughout. From 1929 hours, consider me as Retired.”
This came as a shocker for the cricket crazy fans of Dhoni.
Even though the rumours of Dhoni’s exit from limited over game were doing rounds, there was no confirmation to it.
During the lockdown when all of a sudden, #Dhoniretires trended, and cricket lovers were eager to know of Dhoni’s future plans, the buzz was silenced by Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni who had told on social media that these rumours were baseless and that Dhoni has not even been active on social media during lockdown.
So all of a sudden, when the real retirement news came, the Cricketing Nation was shaken.
But that is how Dhoni is!! He keeps his plans very simple and he does not need any pre-announcement strategies.
Even when he retired from Test Cricket, Dhoni came up with the news in a sudden manner.
