Former Indian Captain and U-19 coach Rahul Dravid’s son Samit Dravid is probably the next Dravid in the making. He has put up an impressive all-round performance in 2019. A right-handed batsman, Samit has been grabbing eyeballs for quite some time now in various competitions in school cricket. In 2018, the bespectacled teenager scored a century in the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) BTR Cup Under-14 Inter-School tournament.

The Karnataka U-14 team won the South Zone tournament after a long time, and Samit was instrumental in that win. He has scored 2244 runs with 9 tons, including 3 double hundreds. He had a quiet season in 2018, but that motivated him to up his game in 2019, and he scored around 2000 runs in 2019. He was felicitated by the Six Cricket Academy by Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and Samit’s father, Rahul Dravid. The father must be so proud of his son.
