The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been the most well-known T20 league in the globe during the past 12 seasons. The event has risen steadily since its first edition in 2008, and cricket players and fans worldwide eagerly anticipate the start of the competition. Six teams have won the championship at least once in the past 12 seasons. Three franchises have participated in the tournament since the first season. However, they have yet to claim the championship.
It comes as a wonder to everyone that this team has lost three IPL finals, earning them the label of “chokers.” This team is arguably the most star-studded in IPL history, with the batting lineup having served the likes of Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, and Yuvraj Singh in the past and present. Virat Kohli will surely give it his best if the team makes it to the final this time around in order to prevent RCB’s fourth consecutive defeat.
When the IPL began in 2008, the club from the northern state of Punjab was one of the most promising teams, but it never truly gained enough momentum to win the championship. They did, however, make it to the 2014 IPL final, when they were defeated by Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a nail-biting game. Kings XI Punjab is also having a difficult time this year; they are currently last in the standings after losing 6 of their last eight games. Despite any miracles, this team will undoubtedly remain on this list till the next one.
The worst IPL team ever has come from the nation’s capital. Delhi has never been able to make it to the IPL finals, unlike RCB and KXIP. Even powerful batsmen like Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan couldn’t have the most impact on the squad because of how erratic and underwhelming it has always been. Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, DC’s fortunes have turned for IPL 2020, and the squad is now among the best title contenders.
