The former Trinidadian cricketer, Brian Lara is one of the finest cricketers of all time. Brian Lara has always been appreciated by many all over the world and was in fact held to be one of the most prominent batsmen of all time. He is also a great right-arm leg-break bowler. The player still holds several world-class records on the field. The world will always remember his remarkable performances over the ages.

If we talk about his records and performances, the iconic 400 runs in the 4th Test match, on April 10-14, 2004, in St John’s, England tour of West Indies, will be remembered forever. The West Indies vs England match was really difficult for the English cricket team. Brian Lara ended the match with a fantastic 400 runs in the 5 days Test match. He made it possible for the West Indies team to win so easily. West Indies ended up with a fantastic 751 runs. Brian Lara remained not out till the end of the match. This led to the highest individual score in a Test innings in the history of cricket.

The world still remembers the iconic record and the match. In fact, Brian Lara was also awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ title for his brilliance in the innings. Although he retired, no one till the date could break the record.
