The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket tournament in which ten teams compete from ten different cities across India. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) established the league in 2007. It takes place every year between March and May and has a special slot in the ICC Future Tours Programme.
