The pace bowling attack of an Indian cricket team has been one of the most deadly ones in the ongoing few years, following the ascent of bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami. In the interim, we have another name to add to this rundown, and it is the rising star T Natarajan, who is at present giving a difficult stretch to the Australians, Down Under. He has been very impressive against Australia in the T20 series that was played when he came in to replace Varun Chakravarty.
However, we all know that going against a team with a strong batting line-up such as Australia is not a single bowler’s cup of tea. With Steve Smith proving his talent in the T20 and ODI, we all know he along with Finch and Labuchange will be very strong to defeat. Hence, a team India will require a strong team effort to dismiss the best batsmen in the Australian line-up.
Ignoring the upcoming test, the perfect partner for rising bowling star T. Natarajan will be Bumrah. Bhuvaneshwar is a talented bowler but his skills are restricted to a new ball. Bowling with swinging as well as the non-swinging ball has always been Bumrah’s strength. With Natarajan creating perfect pressure on batsmen, Bumrah will get an advantage to go for wicket balls and he will be free to bowl without worrying about saving runs. And this will work both ways as Bumrah can create pressure on batsmen as well as he is the greatest bowler in the world currently. Bhuvi can swing in both directions but as the ball gets older, Bhuvi will only become a liability to Natarajan.
