The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is an American leading organization in mixed martial arts. Conor McGregor is an Irish mixed martial artist as well as a boxer. He is famous as a former Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight and lightweight champion. According to UCF’s ranking for 2020, Conor McGregor was ranked 12th in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings and 4th in the UFC lightweight rankings. Conor McGregor will return to the Octagon after a year in the UFC 257 main event. The former UFC champion will compete with Dustin Poirier in UFC 257 fight which will decide the next lightweight title challenger.
Dustin Poirier is an American mixed martial artist as well as a boxer and is a former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion. He fights in the lightweight division. They faced each other back in 2014 for the first time. The fight was won by the Irish mixed martial artist, Conor. That fight was the last fight Poirier had in the Featherweight division. After that fight, both have achieved great success in their careers. The American martial artist and boxer won 10 fights since then beating some of the best in the UFC, including Justin Gaethje and Dan Hooker. McGregor became the biggest star in UFC history, emerging as the first UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously. And now they will be facing each other in the UFC 257 on 24th January 2021.
