Umesh Yadav is an Indian cricketer. He represents Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He is a right-arm fast bowler.
Yadav made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in May 2010. He was named in the 15-member squad for the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He picked just four wickets in all the five matches he played in the tournament. Umesh was later selected in India’s 20-member squad for the 2015 Cricket World Cup and he was the highest taker for India in the tournament. He picked 18 wickets from 8 matches and was named the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
Umesh Yadav has represented Delhi Daredevils in 2010, and Kolkata Knight Riders from 2014 to 2018. He was later bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore and represented the franchise for 3 seasons. In 2021 he was bought again by Delhi and in 2022 he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders.
Yadav has given several match-winning performances throughout his career. In domestic, international as well as IPL, Yadav has performed wonderfully and proved his worth.

- 6/88 and 4/45 vs West Indies in Hyderabad (2018): His best Test innings performances came in 2018 during second test giants West Indies. He picked six wickets and conceded 88 runs and set off West Indies for 311 runs. In the second innings, he picked four wickets for 45 runs and won the player of the match honor.
- 3/29 and 5/53 vs Bangladesh in Kolkata (2019): Yadav’s one of the best performances came in the day/night test against Bangladesh. His figures were quite impressive with 3/29 and 5/53.
- 4/31 vs Bangladesh in Melbourne (2015): His best performance in ODI’s came during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup against Bangladesh in Melbourne. He picked four wickets for 31 runs in his 9 overs. India won the match by 109 runs.
- 4/53 vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad (2014): In the third ODI against Sri Lanka, Yadav picked four wickets for 53 runs. India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets.
- 4/71 vs Australia in Bengaluru (2017): Umesh picked four wickets and conceded 71 runs.
