The Indian cricket team has been blessed with some of the best all-time greats of the game and the best thing about the same is how in literally every era, we have had one legend who dominated bowlers all over the globe. If it was Sunil Gavaskar once, the legacy was carried forward by Sachin Tendulkar and now after him, we have Virat Kohli making the country proud at a global level.
However, Sachin has a unique record of scoring 100 International hundreds, a feat that’s quite difficult to even think of breaking. Since Virat has all the potential to do so, once during a party which was to celebrate Sachin’s 100 hundreds, Priyanka Chopra, the host of that evening asked Virat about how Sachin inspired him.
While Virat was all praises for him, the best response came from Abhishek Bachchan. He was quoted in that conversation saying,
“Sachin Tendulkar is the reason why many young players decided to play cricket. But Sachin Tendulkar is also the reason why many of us decided not to continue playing cricket since we can’t be like Sachin and I am one of them. ”
Immediately after this, the entire crowd clapped over his witty response.
