Raina is an Indian professional tennis player named Ankita Ravinderkrishan. Raina was born to Lalita Raina and Ravinder Kishen Raina in the state of Gujarat. She was born and raised in Ahmedabad before relocating to Pune, Maharashtra when she was fourteen years old. Pune has a better infrastructure for developing young tennis talent, and her choice to relocate was influenced by her second-place finish in the Asians 14 and under masters competition in Melbourne.
