Musician Beabadoobee was raised in the UK but was born in the Philippines. She is a self-taught artist. She spent years perfecting her violin technique before picking up the guitar in her late teens, using YouTube lessons as her teacher. Beabadoobee also gained popularity by doing cover versions of other artists' songs, which she later uploaded to YouTube. 2018 saw her sign with Dirty Hit Records as a result of this.
