On Thursday, an elephant at the Thiruvilwamala Vilwadrinatha Temple became aggressive. The rider of the tusker fell off and received minor injuries. On social media, a video of the man avoiding being trampled by the pachyderm's foot has gone viral. While temple staff member Kuniseri Swaminathan sat on the elephant, Adattu Paramu aka Panacherry Parameshwaram began to shake its body fiercely. Swaminathan collapsed on the floor.
