Director Mira Nair is set to launch A Suitable Boy, an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel with the same name. Produced by Lookout Point for the BBC, the drama is penned by British screenwriter Andrew Davies. A Suitable Boy tells the story of spirited university student Lata and her coming of age in North India in 1951 at the same time as the country is carving out its own identity as an independent nation and is about to go to the polls for its first democratic general elections. Mansi Multani is an actor, singer and songwriter. Her stage career spans over 600 shows. She is best known for playing Olivia in the award-winning Piya Behrupiya, Atul Kumar’s musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, which opened at the Globe Theatre for The London Cultural Olympics in 2012, and has since travelled the world crossing 200 shows, playing with subtitles in English, Mandarin, French and Spanish.
