Assam Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Reopens For Public And Tourists
Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the district of Morigaon, Assam. It originates in the southern band of Brahmaputra. It occupies 38.85 km2 with grassland and wetland spaces for the Indian Rhinoceros. It was declared as Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in 1987. The Sanctuary is famous for the one-horned Rhinoceros species. It has now been reopened for the general public and tourists after the end of the rainy season.
