A Pall Of Gloom Over Mr Bachchan’s Birthday

With the death of Jaya Bachchan’s political mentor Mulayam Singh Yadav on 10 October, all birthday celebrations for Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday on October 11 at his residence were called off. Jaya has always considered herself Mulayam Singh’s mentor in politics. She was constantly monitoring his declining health in the past few months, and was hoping for his miraculous recovery.
